Description
So, in addition to teaching myself to sew, I'm also exploring needle felting as a new means of creating sculptures. It's extremely fun!
Totoro is one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite film makers, Miyazaki Hayao. Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki have created some truly wonderful films that inspire me and jump-start my imagination.
This guy is made out of needle-felted wool roving and stands about 4" tall. He stands on his own, thanks to his tail, and he was extremely fun to make.
